This Is Such An Indicator Of the Insane Times I Live In

'The Empire Strikes Back', 'Caddyshack', and 'Faces of Death' are all 30 years old this summer. Take a moment to think about that.

I knew people that knew people that had seen Faces of Death. They were revered and shunned, all at the same time. Hey, we were in 5th grade...

That is my point. It is such a touchstone of the start of awareness of certain 'forbidden' things (which made me only want to see them more) in my life. Texas Chainsaw Massacre was on that list too. It's always worse in our mind than in reality except for maybe 'Faces of Death'.

For years, I wasn't even sure if Faces of Death was a real movie!

I've never watched Faces before, don't ever plan to. Creatures dying in all kinds of ways is not my idea of entertainment. I've seen enough of that in real life.

I've never seen that picture. But I went to a special screening of ESB last May.
