I Love This

This is the perfect t-shirt for me. The Rhino on the treadmill who wishes he was a unicorn.

And at this point, I am at 99% of my blogger allowed usage so will be switching over to my new identity and my yahoo email address. So if I am late getting back to anyone please forgive me. It's all a time of adjustment around here with the new tumblr and all.

I'm a fan of that t-shirt company. Or, at least, it reminds of the company that I'm a fan of.

Wow.

That made as little sense as one of my blog posts.

But unicorns don't really exist. Or do they? On the other hand, I see rhinos on the treadmill all the time. Yeah, that's right.

Why can't a rhino's reach exceed his grasp, Robyn?

Hmm, that's a very profound question, Kal. Let me get back to you on that one.

Okay, I'm back. It can, Kal. A rhino's reach can exceed his grasp. Said rhino must have faith in himself. That's all.

I knew there was a catch. Damn.

The point is that unicorns are as real as the (heavily photoshopped) models on the cover of Cosmo, and a rhino wanting to be a unicorn is as futile as a real person wanting to look exactly like one of those constructs.

Even the models themselves look at the final covers and wish they were that thin and beautiful.

Way to bum out the whole room with your hurtful logic MD. Sighs. Maybe me wants to be photoshopped.

The truth is usually not pretty. That's why no on has wanted to hear it since Cassandra's time.

And yet no one said this?

The rhino's exercise is based on his motivation. The poster is his motivation. He doesn't want to be the unicorn; nay, he wants to be fit enough to be acceptable to the unicorn, his dream mate.

The fact that his dream mate is a hypothetical construct and that he longs for it - I see it in his eyes - the reality of it furthers the sadness of his neverending longing for true companionship.

(Sorry. A little overthinking and tainted at the moment.)
