From My Soap Box

This is all I am going to say about Justin Trudeau. He is not his father. He is too young and inexperienced to lead the Liberal Party of Canada. The bump the Libs will get for this choice of leader will die down pretty quick once people hear Justin speak. He's a kid. He sounds like a kid. PM Steven Harper will have him for lunch. Tough to come into leadership when the country is not doing so badly. Alberta is booming as is Saskatchewan and Ontario. We don't really need a radical change in government right now. Our shit is stable in a world that is imploding daily. Maybe Justin will grown into the job but I doubt it. Most things named Justin in our country usually turn out to be numnuts. I don't know why that is but it's the truth.

I think Justin Trudeau is the best shot the Liberals have at regaining some ground. He attracts media attention, crowds and donations. Who else do the Liberals have right now who can do that? Nobody. Yes, he's young and inexperienced but he can learn. If he has a strong team around him, he might go far.

Actually he has just about as much parliamentary experience as Stephen Harper had when he became leader of the Conservatives. He doesn't have the regional political experience, but he did grow up immersed in the political landscape.

Despite the fact that I think Harper's conservatives haven't been doing as bad a job running the country as a lot of people think...

...I suspect that Justin will be the country's next PM.

I always vote Liberal but he's gonna have to earn my vote. I think he's like weak tea. Yes, weak tea.
