Loves Me Some Puss 'N Boots

One of the great things about the Shrek movies was the introduction of Puss 'n Boots with voice by Antonio Bandaras (who had recently played Zorro). I love that accent and he really gave life to the kitty. Seems there will be a solo Puss movie coming out soon and I for one will be first in line to see it. I love the way they did this character in annimation and I hope they go back to Brother's Grim-like origins for this film which they seem to be doing by taking us back to Puss' kitten days.

"According to Banderas, the script has been in the works for 3 years and he is very pleased with the results. He describes the script as an epic tale that will explain Puss’s jaded and aggressive attitude. It might even pinpoint when Puss’s addiction to catnip started. Banderas also said that his spinoff movie will be moving away from the pop culture references that are so prevalent in the Shrek movies. With all the references to the epic nature of this film and the lack of pop culture jokes makes me wonder how serious this movie will be."

Puss in Boots is a great character, and might be the best one to spin-off into his own flick. Cool!
