Hakes Did Me Right

3.5x5x1.75" deep gold-colored tin w/illustrated outer slip cover contains high quality adult size ring produced at the time of the movie release by The Great American Ring Club © 1994 Universal City Studios Inc./Advance Magazine Publishers Inc. There are two varieties of this ring. This is the sterling silver version w/cultured ruby. Has diecut design on sides of band. From a limited edition of just 2000 and comes w/individually numbered 4x5.5" certificate #0982. Certificate text includes "By Wearing The Ring You Will Become My Agent, Like Dozens Of Others All Over The World, In All Walks Of Life." The slip cover includes an ad on back for The Shadow Club membership kit. The tin has cardboard insert designed to hold the ring and this has repeated "Ha Ha Ha" text. The slip cover is Exc., all else is Mint.

My prize from my auction win arrived today from Hake's Americana and Collectibles. I can't say enough about the way I was treated from the get-go. Heather knew who I was and gave me all kinds of good advice on how to use the 100 dollar gift certificate I won from them. The greatest thing was the fact that if I didn't win I could use the money for something else I wanted to either bid on or purchase outright.

Once the auction was over they made it really easy for me to redeem my gift certificate and get my ring. I can't say enough about the way they treated me. In the future I plan to scout around their site for another rare gem for my collection.

With Hake's you know you are getting a collectible that has be analyzed and valued by their team of professionals. All the paperwork of authenticity is with the ring and the cardboard sleeve, tin, and the ring itself are in immaculate condition.

So a big thanks to Hake's and especially to Brian at Cool and Collected who created the contest that won me this prize in the first place. It's definately one of the best pieces in my collection.

I thought "HA HA HA HA HA" was the Joker's thing.

I used to love that Shadow figure. Had him fight my Batman all the time.

I once won an epic game of Trivial Pursuit in a remote tree planting camp with the following question. "What is the secret identity of The Shadow". The other non comic reading players could not understand how I knew the answer. One of my finest moments.
