Magawa, a giant African pouched rat, worked for the charity APOPO, helping clear landmines in Cambodia. Over five years, he sniffed out TNT, clearing more than 20 football fields' worth of land. His incredible speed and accuracy made him invaluable, as he could cover large areas safely and efficiently. Magawa successfully identified over 100 landmines and unexploded ordnance. In 2020, he was awarded a gold medal for his life-saving contributions. After five years of service, Magawa retired, having made the land safer for thousands of people. His retirement marked the end of a remarkable career.
