I can't tell you how much I appreciated a movie that gave me just what it promised in the trailer. If you miss one monster fighting scene, don't worry, another will be along in five minutes. Non stop action and gorilla bashing glory. Finally the humans are only around to fill out a few necessary plot lines but apart from that it's smashed buildings and burnt monkey flesh. I enjoyed it immensely because it didn't suck me in with a flashy trailer - a trailer that was just a teaser for even more destruction to come. The film left me with so much more to enjoy. THIS is how you make a Kong and Godzilla movie. It zips along the story with creatures who don't communicate with words but with their actions. Nothing is left to the imagination. It's all up on screen. Your basic high concept done with a 'full retard' approach to everything it is trying to be. It's a monster movie and nothing else and I repeat how much of a joy that is to experience these days.
