This is a thoughtful look at a group of journalists who are on their way to Washington D.C. while a Civil War continues throughout America. The film is fairly straightforward with Kirsten Dunst as an war weary photographer mentoring a young girl who also is a photographer. Both are unaware of the danger they are in while taking pictures and we wait for one or both to lose their lives as they move through the landscape. I found it to be lacking in stakes even though the danger was always through for the team of characters. I know they can die at any moment but for some reason they seem to be more witnesses than victims. It's a small movie that can pass you by without missing anything. I wanted to see more about this American Civil War but the story is confined to mostly our four main characters so there is no real war going on at all except for a few moments near the end.
