The Hunt Begins

Like Oscar Goldman with Exploding Briefcase, this Dr Steel is one of my holy grail figures. I am always on the lookout for one mint in box. What you want, of course, is the tattoo to be crisp and clean and bright and his signature steel hand. Mint in package is the only way to go. Let me know if you can help a brother out.

I still contend that this figure is actually YUL BRYNNER from the movie, The Ultimate Warrior. I like that dystopian 7Os film very much. It doesn't pretend to be anything other than what it was and of course any film with YUL is golden for me.

Remember How Dreamy He Was Back Then?

Jack Kirby Cool

Jack Kirby’s never-before-colored Argo concept art, used during a 1979 CIA mission to extract hostages from Iran. The prints will be available at the Heavy Metal website soon here. Via Io9.

I need to learn more about Kirby's contribution to the rescue of the Iranian hostages, which was only facilitated with the help of Canada. You can read the story here and even watch a documentary about how Kirby worked for the CIA or had his work appropriated by the CIA for the mission. Awesome stuff.

Tournament Of Rose Parade

38 years of me watching the Tournament of Roses parade with Bob Ubanks. I swear those bastards forced him out. I might boycott next year's coverage to show my disgust with this change in tradition. This parade means that the holidays are officially over for me and I hate that loss of tradition with Bob and Stepanie. You live long enough you see everything change around you, kids. Trust me, dont' don't ever want to grow old.

Oh and Disney ALMOST had dancing Stormtroopers with their float. ALMOST. I could tell they WANTED to dance with other characters but were told to keep it cool.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice Multiverse 6" Wonder Woman Figure

This looks to be an amazing year for Wonder Woman figures. This is my third pre-ordered WW figure already this year and the year hasn't even started. But this one looks great. Love the shield.
