Is Black Panther‘s Michael B. Jordan the man to replace Henry Cavill as the next Superman?

According to Deadline, it’s not as bizarre as it sounds, given Jordan is allegedly the early frontrunner to take point as the fresh-faced Man of Steel further down the road. And that’s just it.

Warner Bros. isn’t expected to launch a new standalone Superman movie for at least several years, what with the studio’s resources now being dedicated to the planned Supergirl origin story from 22 Jump Street scribe Oren Uziel. So even if Michael B. Jordan is in contention for the coveted gig as Deadline suggests, it’ll be some time yet before he makes the jump from Marvel to DC – long after Avengers 4 zooms into theaters and (potentially) heralds the return of Killmonger by means of time travel…

Telling the same Superman story with a bit of stunt casting is such a stupid idea with a thousand ways to go wrong. Here is my solution. Make a movie about a child who comes to Earth from another planet and is raised in the slums of Chicago where he was found by a young hard working black couple. Never mention the planet Krypton. Deal with how he lives in a world where he is also black and a superhero with Superman like powers. Just don't CALL him SUPERMAN or have him wear an emblem or a cape. Now that would be 100 times more interesting that a bit of stunt casting and saves you the racist social media piling on the closer this movie get to being made. Switch it up a bit and everyone can get what they want. And it would be cool if there is never a mention of the word 'Superman' in the script and even in the media you can make the mention of the name a 'thing' that one does not do on this project. People are ready for more black heroes and if we have to trick them a little to get them to accept the concept of a black man playing an iconic white superhero then this is the way to do it. The HIGHER the concept, the more FULL RETARD one must go in the execution of said concept.

This film took that advice and make it the sole reason to make this movie. If it isn't as big and stupid as it can be then what the hell is the point? From the bulletproff superhuman bad guy in the form of Idris Elba, I was IN and it only got goofier after that. I thought I was tired of seeing a Dwayne Johnson movie. Apparently I was mistaken.

I love the Snow but Ronald seems an unnecessary addition who no doubt is violent, unhygienic and a really bad roommate. He is not a fairy tale character and it must enrage him to know that deep down in his twisted clown soul.

The is nothing appealing about this generic time filler except to goof on the big 'star' who no doubt was in it ten minutes and was late and drunk for her ten minute of screen time. WEREWOLF WAR?? Where have I seen that theme before?? Sorry, I forgot than Lindsey Lohan was in the movie so why was I looking for original. I have no doubt her notes and suggestions only make the film better. And Lindsey looks like a 30 year old worn out leather catcher's mitt. She looks horrible in each scene due to bad lighting and this is just sloppy and unprofessional. I know she has ruined her youthful beauty with booze and pills and European gigalos but there is a way to use movie tricks to make her look like less than a piece of Alabama Ditch Trash.

The Cosplay Challenge

I must be evolving in my old age. But I saw a post over at the Hero Press where Brother Tim did a post about Cosplay Goddess Jennifer Van Damsel - one of my favorites as well. Like me, Tim is very good at recognizing all the things that makes a person a Cosplay Goddess. It's a combination of the costume, girl and attitude that creates the magic. It's a rare thing when you discover an artist who makes all her own costumes with energy, enthusiasm and imagination. They put themselves out there to face the hate of the Internet full of haters. Well I only hate those who deserve it. Girls who dress in costumes don't fall into that category. I only have love for these goddesses.

I had an idea yesterday to do a new feature called THE GREAT CAVE OF COOL COSPLAY CHALLENGE where I asked Tim to do a list of his Top 10 favorite cosplayers with a link to their larger collection of pictures and one picture. I could write the same words I wrote above for each girl. Tim has already completed his list and we just talked yesterday. I thought I was quick but this guy is a beast online. It's his mutant power. So tomorrow I will post both our lists and then the debate will begin. It's my first cross promotion EVER.

One of my very favorites as well. So beautiful that she can be any character and totally inhabit that character. It's the kind of magic only a expert on cosplay can notice after many years of following a cosplayers work. It's amazing artistry and when they create the illusion it's a beautiful thing. I am glad you share your love as well. I am sure if we put our minds to it we could do a top ten list challenge. It would be fun to see what each other's list would look like and we can post both on each blog. One picture per girl and if you can find a link for her then include it.
