American Crime Season Two

The coolest thing about this season is that it's a completely new story of crime in America with the same cast (mostly) from last year playing entirely different characters. This time the setting is a prestigious prep school and the school's Basketball team. A rape occurs at a party and there in lies the beginning of our story. I love seeing the same creative team duplicating another compelling drama that forces the actors to take on a new challenge. I can't recommend season one of American Crime highly enough.

Felicity Huffman, Timothy Hutton, Regina Davis, Andre 3000, and Lily Taylor lead a very strong cast of young actors and actresses who all have to negotiate their way through this horrible crime. Just like last season, the sides line up along racial lines and money can buy the guilty out of their due punishment. Infuriating but addicting to watch.

Again there are only 13 episodes to this story so you can get involved without many hours of commitment. Season two looks to have the makings of another great production. I do so love living in this golden age of television. I hope with all the choice people have out there, that American Crime doesn't get lost in the noise.

I really enjoyed the pre-air screener of this second season pilot. This show is intense but so rewarding. The acting and writing is top notch. I hate having to wait three weeks for a new episode to begin.
