This is an interesting take on the character of Kylo Ren in The Force Awakens. In fact, now that I think more about it, it makes the next two movies so much more interesting than having Ren just be some stock villain. Star Wars has always been about transformation and accepting one's destiny, even if that destiny is to be a Sith Lord in order to return peace to the galaxy.
