This Is What Happens When You Give Your Stupid Robot No Way To Defend Itself

Why not install a taser that goes off when it senses danger? Why is THIS robot preferable to a live human security officer? What is it going to do if it meets a criminal? Take his picture? This robot got what he deserved. Does it even make toast?

 

No wonder this same model tried to kill itself the other day.

The ennui of the robot is delicious to me.

 

 

Look. You might tell me in the comments that this was just a malfunction in its pathfinding algorithm, or whatever system it uses to identify hazards, but I do not want to hear it. This robot was given the choice between life and not-life, and faced with the unbearable reality of existence, it chose the latter.
