Beast (2022)

A father and his two teenage daughters find themselves hunted by a massive rogue lion intent on proving that the Savanna has but one apex predator.

There is a reason why they call the Lion the 'king of the jungle'.  They appear to be powerful and dangerous but in truth the lioness is the one who is the real danger on the savannah. This film turns that truth on it's head when a rogue male sets out to kill anything and anyone it comes across. That simple premise makes for one tense movie going experience as you can see from the trailer.

Doctor Idris Elba brings his two estranged daughters to his wife's African home after she dies of cancer. The trip is meant to bring them back together but when do things ever goes as planned in the movies? As if a killer lion was enough Idris has his own guilt as an absent husband and a father to deal with.

After coming across a massacre at a village, the four main characters find themselves in a fight for their lives that kept me glued to the screen for the entire 90 some odd minutes.

The film is full of tense sequences, jump scares, children in danger, and stressful moments that will keep the viewer on the edge of their seat no matter how silly it seems at times.
