Captain America 2 - The Winter Soldier Concept Pics

It was once said that the only two certain deaths in Marvel Comics were Uncle Ben and Bucky Barnes. Without Uncle Ben dying you have no Spider-Man. And Bucky's last minute actions and death is what led to Captain America being entombed in ice for a generation - which is essential to his 'man out of time' identity.

 

 

 

That is what makes the story of the Winter Soldier such genius. It brings everything about Cap's career around full circle in a way that you can understand because the motivations of the characters come from a pure place.

 

 

I only wish they had spent more time of the relationship between Bucky and Cap in the first movie if only to increase the impact the truth of the identity of the Winter Soldier will have in the Captain America sequel.
