Oscar Nominations

Most of these movies I will never see but they are made for this kind of an award ceremony. As usual there are some bones thrown to the rabble who like movies that actually entertain and are not pretentious. Of the top movies I would go with the Martian or Fury Road for best picture. I wish they could tie. Both brought me to my feet in the theatre which is such a rare thing these days. As for actors I couldn't care less. I guess everyone wants to give Leo his Oscar for suffering in the wilds of Western Canada while filming the Revenant. I hope Stallone gets one for best supporting actor for Creed. I really enjoyed that movie and his role in it. A nice bookend to the first Oscar he won for Rocky all those years ago and he wins another for playing the same but aged character. It's not just tossing him a bone. He really deserves it.
