The Great David Bowie Has Passed

Now he is eternal as he was always meant to be. He was always too strange for this world but in the best way. I loved the way he embraced the video age to have an entirely new career and gain another legion of fans, like myself. Classy to a fault. Deserves every single accolade he will receive today. We were only renting his genius all this time. Now he belongs to the Universe.

I also enjoyed his acting. Labrynth and Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence come to mind. The Man Who Fell To Earth was that kind of 70s Sci Fi that was made before the arrival of digital effects.

It's unfortunate that this new item didn't show his work with music videos. Bing? He sang with BING?? How weird is that team-up?

I always thought he'd be immortal . . . hard to believe he's gone.

I can't think of another artist who reinvented himself so often, and did it so successfully. Of course, he'll always be The Goblin King to me, as that was how I first encountered his magic.
