That is how we listened to our music back in the day and we LIKED IT. I love how common these videos will become in the future as more of these kids grow up in the Internet Age. The technology develops so fast that it leaves a real graveyard of devices and products in it's wake.
YOU ARE OLD of the Day: John Scalzi introduces his 13-year-old daughter Athena — who was born half a decade after the MP3 was invented — to the music delivery system of yore: The LP.

there are certain albums/songs that I can't listen to on cd. Led Zep 3 is a prime example. I need to hear that crickly crackly sound just before Gallows Pole starts, or it ain't Gallows Pole. & the song has to jump just that tiny wee bit when the drums come in.
a mate of mine recently tried to buy the Sex Pistols' Never Mind the Bollocks on cd. while he was paying for it in the shop, I stood in the aisle pointing at him and shouting, " You're a phoney! Hey, everybody, look! he's a big fat phoney! " at the top of lungs, until it all got too much for him and he had to leave the shop, without the disc.
honestly! Sex Pistols on cd! whatever next?
The video has a "staged"/"fake" feel to it.
Couldn't agree more, Joe! I've still got the first Pistols and Clash albums on vinyl. It's the only way!
Although it looks a little staged, it still brings a smile. Recently, I went into Best Buy and asked if they carried cassette tape cases. The girl's eyes glazed over. "Do you mean CD cases?"
