Well...DUH!

I hate that this is a Canadian study because it only gives the Conservatives in the US MORE reason to hate us. First we are trying to build a leaky oil pipeline across their pristine land and now we are accusing their ignorant of being racist. What the hell is wrong with us these days? I blame the long cold winters and all the education we receive in our socialist Muslim paradise. Of course I only posted this article at the behest of my Progressive masters.

"Not only are children with low IQs more likely to be prejudiced adults, Hodson uncovered a hidden bias that exposes the relationship between prejudice and conservatives:

The research finds that children with low intelligence are more likely to hold prejudiced attitudes as adults. These findings point to a vicious cycle. Low-intelligence adults tend to gravitate toward socially conservative ideologies, the study found. Those ideologies, in turn, stress hierarchy and resistance to change, attitudes that can contribute to prejudice, Hodson wrote in an e-mail to LiveScience.

Prejudice is extremely complex and multifaceted, making it critical that any factors contributing to bias are uncovered and understood."

I find that study to be prejudicial and highly biased against unintelligent people and conservatives.

It's endemic that that racist folks tend to have lower I.Q.s. It doesn't necessarily follow that those with lower I.Q.s are conservative.

Calgary Flames fans, on the other hand...

Canadian tax dollars at work: stupid people are racist and conservative. If they would have asked me they could have saved that government grant money.

I would say he's only telling half the story. There's also racist upbringing -- the hateful stuff kids learn at their racist daddy's knee. Pound that evil into a kid's soul, and intelligence & reason may never overcome it -- the smart ones can grow up to rationalize a world view to fit it, and the dumb ones will follow them. Gotta break the generational cycle -- teach tolerance, as young as you can reach 'em (I mean 2-3-4 years, cause they're picking it up even then) and against their parents' wishes.

I once used the N-word at the diner table and my dad lectured me for a half hour about why that was the ugliest word in the English language.

He also made sure that we visited a concentration camp when we lived in Europe so that we understood the evil that can come from hatred.

I have always though that miserable people are most likely to be racist, but sometimes that would also work with lower IQ. When you have nothing but crap you want to blame someone for it. Someone that looks, prays or has different sexual orientation are just easy targets.
