I Can't Figure Out If I Love These Or Hate Them

 

I was doing some research on new figures from DC Collectibles and saw these strange wooden toys pop up. I don't know art but I know what I hate...and I don't hate these. I think they would look great in some baby's nursery. The fact that they are made of wood and so iconic give them that retro-toy feel. I am committed to buying less new toys and adding more depth to my collection but that Superman is impossible to pass up. Damn I wish I had some woodworking skills. This would be the cool project to do in shop class.
