When I was in jr high we had religion once a week. Catholic kids in a room with Father Boring and Protestants in the gym for music and slides featuring Peanuts characters. I converted on the spot for that one class. Mama didn't raise no fools. Now if they would have given us this choice I might have taken it. I like their mascot. He looks like a magician and what kid doesn't like magic?
“It’s important that children be given an opportunity to realize that the evangelical materials now creeping into their schools are representative of but one religious opinion amongst many. While the Good News Clubs focus on indoctrination, instilling them with a fear of Hell and God’s wrath, After School Satan Clubs will focus on free inquiry and rationalism, the scientific basis for which we know what we know about the world around us. We prefer to give children an appreciation of the natural wonders surrounding them, not a fear of everlasting other-worldly horrors.“
Maybe they could have spend a little more money to make their video more inviting and not so freaky. This looks like a poorly made 70s slasher film.

I think that mascot was modeled after the little devil that sat on top of the fortune telling machine in that Twilight Zone episode with William Shatner. There is one of these schools being advertised here in Tucson. Don't think they are going to get many takers, even though what they teach is actually very good. The word Satan turns most people off.
Yeh, he gets a bad rap doesn't he. He keeps the place full and fun.
