Sesame Street was always the gold standard in toddler entertainment when I was young. Romper Room just ignored me but Seseme Street never let me down. Even this little ear worm was charming. I always loved when the dirty hippy went nuts every time. And all the rest of the kids in the playground knew the words too. Those first few notes usually was enough for the shanigans to begin.

I remember Jim Henson's Muppets performing this on the Ed Sullivan show, long before Sesame Street was created. Always a fave of mine!
