Henrique Alvim Correa - War Of The Worlds Illustrations, 1906

I just love Monster Brains. The guy doesn't post everyday like some obsessive compulsives that you know and love but when he does I spend an hour looking at all the insane details in any illustrations that are featured. You also don't just get one picture but a whole series which is a great way to appreciate the goodness. Today is a prime example. War of the Worlds illustrations always get my attention and some of these are truly inventive and would have terrified the seven year old Calvin reading the classic comic book for the first time. I just never liked anything with tentacles. Tentacles always equal evil in my mind.
