Toy Animals Are Burdened with Civilizations On Their Back By Maico Akiba

Artist Maico Akiba has created a series of fascinating toys, dinosaurs and miniature models which support miniature ecosystems and communities on their backs, in a project titled SEKAI. The Japanese word for SEKAI translates into “world” and it aptly describes the way these creatures are tasked with the burden of carrying small worlds upon their shoulders.
