Best Of 2018 - Part 1

“It’s not just a rock. It’s forty-two pounds of polished granite, with a beveled underbelly and a handle a human being can hold. Okay, so in and of itself it looks like it has no practical purpose, but it’s a repository of possibility. And, when it’s handled just right, it exacts a kind of poetry - as close to poetry as I ever want to get. The way it moves…. Not once, in everything I’ve done, have I ever felt the same wonder and humanity as when I’m playing the game of curling.”

One of the best movies I resaw this year. Such a great movie that is worth study because it is so revolutionary. Film Studies class at University is forever associated with this film. Good times then. Good times still. An absolute classic for it's time that hold up still because truth never goes out of style.

Just another day in the Tundra

Don't remove the sharpened disc from your own eye or the eye of your friend. That is a job for a Doctor at the Emergency Room. You will only make the damage worse.

This is SO well written and gives you all the insight you need on the relationship between these two great heroes at their most honest talking to their girlfriends. In truth, they love each other and are closer than brothers. They are the World's Finest but each has such a false perception of the other. It's brilliant. If only ONE scene like this was in the last DC movies with Superman and Batman those films would have made me cry for the right reasons.

I am allowed to miss her.

RUN BITCH RUN!!

For a tenth straight year, you suck, Bloor.

The Rock has reached the limit of his charm for me but this is a great movie for him and Karen Gillam is awesome as well.

This might be the greatest elementary music classroom of all time.

My favorite movie of the year. So glad to see it getting attention from the movie awards people.

Your Enneagram personality type is the Individualist. You're creative, very intelligent and fiercely independent. You're driven by the desire to live true to yourself and you're willing to stand out from everyone else in the process. When unbalanced you tend to be melancholy and envious of others, but if you trust your inner voice you have an impressive imagination that can change the world. You may feel like a rebel without a cause, but when you're in touch with your inner drive, your unique voice can take you far. Be yourself, never compromise on your vision, and find creative ways to express your reality. You have the potential to be one of history's greats!

I've said it before and I'll say it again. The Japanese have a strange and twisted sense of humour.
