Just watched Claude Raines in the Invisible Man! It was Wifey's first time seeing it.

A damned near perfect movie. That and Treasure of the Sierra Madre, The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance, etc. etc.

Liberty Valance was one of those movies I saw alot as a kid. It's the best Western John Wayne ever made. And Lee Marvin. Wow. I need to watch that one again.

Two great things about this particular moment:

1) The way Renault yells "Thank you very much" is so much funnier than if he'd said it sotto voce.

2) The croupier is played by the star of Jean Renoir's Grand Illusion...his appearance here in the equivalent of Jackie Chan or Jean Reno showing up in a Hollywood movie.
