Beware The Batman

The only thing that isn't new about this series is the Batman himself. I am not even sure if it is Bruce Wayne behind the cowl but I will be there to find out when this one starts up.

I don't know. There is an almost unbroken line of Batman cartoons going all the way back to the early 70s. I would have rather they kept Young Justice on.

Me too. Young Justice got ripped off as badly as Superman and the Legion of Superheroes did. But who knows. This one may grow on me like Green Lantern did.

I read an interview with the producers, Glen Murakami and Mitch Watson this morning. Murakami was the showrunner for zany Teen Titans seroes while Watson's run on Scooby-Doo was a real breath of fresh air for the franchise.

They talked alot about their influences, feeling that previous Batman shows borrowed from '40s film noir and 60's silver age silliness and wanted to try a new approach, cribbing from "British Invasion" style music and graphics with the tone of cop shows and martial arts movies from the '70s. Sounds like a winner to me.

I was willing to suffer through this and Teen Titans Go!, but won't since they cancelled GL and YJ... I am DEFINITELY missing the shorts, although they did end Super Best Friends Forever... And I don't know if they were planning on continuing Plastic Man or not... Which were my 2 faves... UGH!!
