This masked Statue of Liberty is a perfect symbol for our friends to the south. Magnificent, majestic, magical and just a little bit shady. But being shady is how you get things done in this world and there is no other country in the world that I admire (and hope for) that the good old USA. And as is tradition on this day I end with these words from Superman The Movie.
"They can be a great people, Kal-el. They wish to be.
They only lack the light to show the way.
Superman was created by a boy from Chicago and one from Toronto. It's one of the great things Canada and America share. I think about Superman a lot on the 4th of July.
