Pic-A-Pop Orange Soda

When I was a teen I lived in Manitoba where they make this Pic-A-Pop product and it was by far the BEST orange soda ever made. And everyone knows that orange soda was the official drink of the Arcade Rat, which I was one. Orange pop, pizza slices and jailbait. And before you freak out we were ALL jailbait. Good times. No one ever believed me about how good it was because they thought Pic-A-Pop was a made up product. To them I say, HA! My memory is as good as ever.

I can back you up on the Pic-a-Pop. They were good soft drinks and cheaper than the big name brands because they were bottled locally and you had to schlep the glass bottles back to the bottling plant when you wanted refills.

But they WERE glass bottles and I am convinced that made all the difference. Plastic doesn't hold the carbonation I believe.

Plastic and aluminum do something to pop. Glass tastes so much better. And finding pop with real sugar in glass? Forget it!

It's rare to find the Mexican colas made with sugar. They should have left well enough alone with it all. Local glass bottling companies would provide many good full time jobs. AND I want glass bottles to come back. And the ability to PIC A POP flavors of my choice in one case of 12 individual bottles.
