This Show Gave Me Self Esteem Issues
I only remember that that damn teacher and her messed up magic mirror which never saw CALVIN no matter how many times I yelled at the TV that I was there and being a good boy like DO BEE taught me to be. One of the many reasons I am messed up as an adult.

I hated that show. Probably because I was an adolescent when it first came on, not its target demographic.
I watched it only so that the magic mirror could see me watching and give me a shout out but it NEVER did.
My friend Stacy told the story of one childhood day when she was watching "Romper Room." The host said "I see Stacy..." and she jumped up and ran around the house screaming "SHE CAN SEE ME! THE LADY ON THE TV CAN SEE ME!!!!", which startled the living crap out of her mom.
THAT was the exact feeling I hoped for every single day that stupid program was on. You would think that Doo Bee would have told her that CALVIN was a child's name too. But never.
