Lost - Season Six - Episode 16

I've got my 'Entertainment Weekly' that has the entire 6 season summary and everything else I would want to know about 'Lost' before I go into the final this Sunday.

If I had friends I wouldn't want to watch this with anyone else at some party. Liquor and disappointment don't go well together. Besides I watched each and every episode by myself since January.

Thank you to the few of you who discussed the show with me. Not exactly the kind of interactive experience I expected but no one gets everything they want. I may have my theories about what is going on but they are really irrelevant now that I have discovered that even the WRITERS had no idea what they were doing half the time.

That is what bothers me the most. Sure the show was great at times but knowing that is could have been greater annoys me especially at the end. I wanted some reward for sticking it out during the weirdness of the numbers, and the smoke monster, and the Dharma Initiative.

Maybe that is the lesson in all of this. Don't trust no one. Just take what you can from what you are given, shut up, and be happy. I so wish I could do that.

Now this episode - Wasn't it so cool to see Ben and Danielle actually being happy in the alternate universe? I also liked seeing him revert to crazy Ben back on the island. Can't have it both ways can I?

As for Jacob's explanation - I had it right from the beginning. It was all about redemption from the beginning. I guess each season and each episode was focused on that theme. How you told that story with that theme is really irrelevant isn't it? You could have deposited the islanders on the moon and it still would have made sense in some bizarre way.

I liked the episode, mostly. I have been enjoying the season, and it has renewed the love I had for it back in seasons one and two.

The only thing I got a little irked about was when Jacob said they had what he never did, a choice. And then Jack just said he'd do it. Shouldn't he have seen if anyone else was also willing? Just seemed too... quick. But, then again, maybe Jack just feels like he has to do this, for everyone.

So looking forward to Sunday. Whether I agree with what happens or not, I am just a viewer. It has always been their show to write and air, and my job is just to watch.

As soon as Jacob asked who would do it, I just rolled my eyes, HOPING it wouldn't be Jack...

Come on Sunday! I have a ton of questions that still need anwsering.
