If you Republicans were so proud of George Bush and his accomplishments as President, why the hell didn't you have him speak at your convention? Ex-presidents are ALWAYS invited to speak. They bring cache and legitimacy to the event. They become the elder statesmen of their party and often still have power to direct the party and contribute to the discussion. All Bush did was run from the White House for the cover of his Mommy's apron strings in Texas. I don't see him out helping the world or even endorsing Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan. You would think it would be an automatic thing but such an endorsement is the last thing Romney wants.
With Bush Jr there are no foundations to help the poor in undeveloped countries - no Clinton Initiative. If you were proud of Bush you would be cheering him at each and every Romney event which he would occasional show up to speak at.
I know that there is a large Hillbilly contingent who will never see Bush for the unqualified idiot he was and we are all paying for the economic crash that HE started by keeping both the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq off the books. This was done deliberately because they knew the next president would no doubt be Democratic and the GOP now had a way to pre-sabotage President Obama from day one.

The Republicans are using a Canadian woman in ads on how she needed an operation but free medical service up there was too slow and she had to come to the US and get the operation faster ( and paying through the nose for it, they don't mention that). See it's Obama's fault all you Canadians can get healthcare and "we" don't need it here.
No logic at all in their minds.
We get taken care of and the wait times are strickly enforced. If a person is in dire need they are either sent to another hospital that has room for their procedure or can pay through the nose for the exact same treatment they would get up here. Trust me. I have never felt like I never get anything but the best of care. Without the profit motif, human compassion suddenly becomes much more important and making money. I would take my system over your system any day of the week. The longest I ever waiting was two weeks for a stress test.

I doubt the lady is even a Canadian resident.

CBC radio did a report on that Canadian woman bitching about our healthcare. Turns out her "wait times" were entirely appropriate because her growth was benign. If it had been cancerous and life-threatening, she would have been dealt with sooner. But she still has the nerve to bitch about our healthcare system and let herself be used for ideological propaganda purposes.
