Currently Playing At The Cave of Cool Bijou

One of my all time favorite guilty pleasure movies. It's totally ridiculous but cool at the same time. The special effects are much better that anyone has any right to expect from the time period and the story hits all the correct buttons for a story of Cold War adversaries.

Oh whew! From the thumbnail in the feed reader I thought it might have been "Wing Commander".

I was just making a list of my dream film library this afternoon when I realized that I didn't own a copy of "Charade" after all. I don't know that I have too many guilty pleasure films other than the Adam West Batman movie.

Clearly my standards are too high. Please teach me your ways oh Master!

If you can't find time in your life to seek out an 80s movie about fighting giant robots then I can't teach you anything of value. I have never seen Charade. Perhaps I might. Are there laser wielding robots?

Regrettably no, Charade is a thriller from the '60s. I love the old Hitchcock style suspense films.

Speaking of the Sixties, I have watched my fair share of goofy crap from that decade. Like the original "Casino Royale", which I thought was really funny back in high school but haven't seen since they made that one with Daniel Craig that wasn't a comedy.

So we will get Cary Grant to play you in the movie.

Actually I think Peter Sellers is closer to my real life persona and appearance. Woody Allen would be a close second, but he talks too much.

Wow. It's like modern Shakespeare.
