Once again the Universe mimics what I am thinking about. I just found this pic on Vintage Toys Facebook page and it was my favorite toy of all time. I am working on a post about the whole Evel Knievel line of toys but this one will always be the first and the best. First of all it was a durable toy that could take a ton of punishment. The figure itself was unbreakable but could light on fire if he was a little slow getting through the ring of fire we set up in the field. The bike was also pretty hard to smash. It took a lot of punishment due to it's metal parts and sturdy shock absorber in the front. When you wound up the engine it made a whine the faster it rotated and it could generate enough power to make some impressive jumps....especially for a toy that size. I have my original Evel still with me. Only he and Spider-Man survived the Great Disaster.

I wonder how the new Figures Inc. one does under pressure.
I have the one that Playing Mantis did a few years ago and it still works great. It was a remake but the original molds from Ideal were used.
Of the two, I only had my Mego Spidey. He was the BEST ever.
I wanted an Evel for a spell back then (who didn't..?), but I focused on collecting my Mego heroes instead.
