New To the Collection of Cool - Monster High - Frights, Camera Action - Draculaura Figure And A Christmas Rant

I am one of those people that will let my packages from Amazon or my toy guy or friend just pile up for awhile until I need the jolt of joy that comes with opening them up. This one had a half open piece of tape so I couldn't resist. opening the box.

I find it hilarious that one day after talking about the Cleo from this line the Draculaura one arrives at my door for 20 dollars including the shipping. Pretty sweet for a girl that is twice that on the secondary market, which I hate.

I guess I like to save up my 'presents' so that I know I will get mostly everything I want since I was the one who picked it out myself. I also usually forget what is in each box so that is often a cool surprise as well.

I don't like when people give me gifts because frankly they never show that the giver really knows what I would like and took the time to do the research before chasing down the present. Never happens. I put the kibosh on that years ago (Chrismas #8). My mother and I figured this out years ago. I don't buy anything to disappoint her and vice versa. Get your own gifts and you will always be happy.

I get some stuff for my niece and nephew but they never say hello to me or thank me and neither does my sister. Too bad with Facebook and Skype available. Plus I want them to see the cat captions I post over at my Facebook page. But even if we are family my mother can't post things on her Facebook site so that the kids can see and expect my sister to reciprocate.

If you have a Facebook Page, please send me a friend request and follow me over there too, please.

I am thinking totally cutting ties with these children I never see. Find someone else or some charity group to leave my collection to when I die. Plus my comic collection which numbers in the 12000 +. I don't want my own niece and nephew to have anything because they would not appreciate it in the way they should. That is because since youth they have done nothing to have a relationship with me. They never acknowledge the toys I send them half way around the world.

Perfect example. I get my niece a cool calligraphy pen set because that is what she wanted. I half expected that maybe I would get something and written by that pen in thanks but forget that. It was the same thing she the two of the were little and I send a great Batman costume that lit up and had a great utility belt (for her) and a toddler superman outfit for my nephew. Never got ONE picture of a 'once in a life time' in their lives. For me seeing my superhero gifts shown off would have been a nice things for me.

Once again fuck Calvin. Who as we need to remember is clearly the ANTI-Christ. It's the family. Only I never killed anyone. Almost got killed a couple of times. No Biggie. But I am the one everyone excludes.

I have Skype set up so the Australian kids can talk to my mother once a week but in the last year they did that maybe 4 times and it was always uncomfortable for everyone. Always a let down. I just hated it.

So don't ask me why I personally hate Christmas. My father is gone, My only real family are selfishly excluding both the Uncle and the Grandmother from Canada. My mother helps at her Church and collect clothing for the homeless and if the demand isn't too high we have served at the downtown soup kitten on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

So fuck Christmas, fuck holiday parties I NEVER get invited too and all the lonely time I spend while having the media bombard me with images of all the joy I am missing out on and therefor are a loser for doing so. You just can't win fighting the holiday. It has a million ways to crush your spirit.

So forgive me for enjoying my Draculaura 'doll'.

Oh Kal! I am so sorry to hear this. If there wasn't such a great divide I'd say come over and hang out with me and my friends. We're always wanting to celebrate and be merry and we enjoy hanging out with everyone. You are a truly kind and wonderful person. I have so enjoyed getting to know you and I consider you a friend. This time of year can really suck, but remember, you aren't alone. And there are people that value you.

On a side note, I am so glad you got that Draculaura for yourself! I do that too from time to time. It is important to treat yourself. Bonus points for not shelling out an arm and a leg. Hope you are doing well.
