It Truly Is The Beautiful Game
I know nothing about Soccer except for the fact that it is the most popular sport in the world. The genius of this advertising is that it creates an environment that makes me feel the passion and excitement for Football played at the highest level. Nike is so tuned into a part of world culture that we almost never see her in North America. I am happy to have access to the world of the Internets so that I can enjoy this extended commercial with a huge smile on my face. I didn't know the players but I understood the situation and greatly admire the creativity. The world was considered and North America was not. Who cared what the Americans thought about 'soccer'. I find that kind of Corporate thought to be refreshing.

I'm afraid I agree with Stephen Colbert's observation that the only thing more boring than watching grass grow is watching grass grow with soccer players in the way.
