The Golden Age Of DC Comics

I love the designs of all these five volumes of DC History. I can't get enough of these research novels put out by DC or Marvel Comics. Paul Levitz expanded his own 75th Anniversary edition onto five volumes which publisher Taschen will release throughout 2013. The first one on the Golden Age is out already and happily on the way to me now.

I'm digging it too! The big cover reprints just scream "comic book" so that it never masquerades as something that its not. I love how "DC Comics" is in the same classic font while the DC logo and Age Typography changes to match the era!

These will go right onto my shelf next to those "Marvel Essential" Volumes.

I know Golden, Silver and Bronze Age and even Dark Age or common terms in the industry, but personally I'd have gone with "Steel Age" over "Modern Age" to avoid dating the series so that you can have another run a decade later.
