Can someone explain to me how this Neil Gaiman character made it into the regular Marvel Universe, let alone the Guardians of the Galaxy? What does she bring but attitude and a shiny sword? Been done before and done so much better. Red Sonya in space? Yawn, Meh, and Gah!!
Angela is a fictional character that was originally part of Todd McFarlane's Spawn comic book series. The character was created for the series by writer Neil Gaiman and artist Todd McFarlane, which led to a legal battle between McFarlane and Gaiman over the rights to the character. Gaiman won the lawsuit and then sold the character to Marvel comics. She debuted as a part of the Marvel Universe in 2013's Age of Ultron crossover event, with her character to be expanded on in Guardians of the Galaxy #5.
