Edge Of Tomorrow Trailer

This one puts me into a moral dilemma. I usually hate Tom Cruise (hated Oblivion) but this might be his science fiction magnum opus. This may be the one that makes me a believer. He seems perfectly cast and I love Emily Blunt in anything and to see her to kick ass is thrilling. Coming to you next summer but thought you deserved a look.

oh my god...oblivion was great. yeah, it was predictable as all get out but lots of great action, amazing visualization and morgan freeman! plus that dickhead drone that saves him then cards him...twice! hilarious.

ps, have you seen "wild targets"?

I dunno. I liked this better when it was called "Source Code" or was it "Groundhog Day"?

It could be a combination of both. I got a good feeling about this one and there is no one who dislikes Tom Cruise the person and actor more than me..

What is this Wild Targets.

Wild Target is a dark comedy staring Bill Nighy, Emily Blunt and Rupert Grint. Nighy is a hit man who falls in love with Blunt and has to hide his job from her. Martin Freeman is in it too. Very funny, worth renting.

This DOES look good, if a bit like "Groundhog Day" on steroids. I didn't see "Oblivion" because I could tell it was crap just from the trailer. Tom Cruise is a whackjob in real life but I don't mind him in a movie. He's a good actor.

By the '90s Tom Cruise became that kind of "Women Love Him and Men Love to hate him" face. I'm largely unfamiliar with his early "dramatic" work (except for A Few Good Men because I really watched it for Jack Nicholson) it seems he's just filling his plate with action and sci-fi potboilers nowadays.

I enjoyed his work on the most recent "Mission Impossible" film (though that was an ensemble piece) Easily the worst film I've seen him in was "Minority Report". Though Spielberg was just as much to blame in that case too.

He was also good in "Collateral" but as a supporting actor, which is what he was unlike Jamie Foxx, the lead, who was nominated for Best Supporting Actor for that movie.

But I just see this little guy running around. Not an actor, not a character, just little Tom Cruise running around. This time being a little munchkin might work out for him.
