This would never work because no one can make a cat do what the cat doesn't want to do. And what is the cat and bird just decide to return to the guys who attached the rockets to them. No wonder no modern terrorist organization has picked up this idea.

Very cruel, but like you say you're never going to convince a cat that it has to run in a specific direction... especially if it has a flaming satchel strapped to its back! It's just as likely to run back through the legs of your own troops.
