38 years ago today "The Warriors" was released. I remember my Mother not wanting me to see this one because of all the problems in NEW YORK over the showing of the film. There were many gang fights and other shenanigans. So I had to wait until the age of video to see this one and it is probably one of the top ten movies I have seen the most in my life. It's that good of a story and lean, efficient filmmaking.
