I Had To Laugh

Someone ACTUALLY suggest to me that someone could REMAKE Breakin' 2: Electic Boogaloo. That is just kooky talk.

Just look at that trailer. A large group of human beings made this movie and NO ONE stopped in the middle and questions just what the fuck they were doing. Oh yeh babie. That is the GOOD STUFF. Pure vintage 80s garbage by the CANNON GROUP no less. Golan and Globus were the biggest schlockmeisters in movie history next to Roger Corman. They also made the equally magnificently horrible GYMKATA with that Olympic Gymnast. Damn, I could do a whole podcast on their movies.

How would you ever recapture the spirit? The fashion? The thrilling music and dance numbers? Good vs Evil? Inner city ethnic youth speaking the language of the streets and using the power of RAP to save their neighborhood? So many things had to align in the Universe for such a movie to be made. I would have told you yesterday that Black Panther may be the most enjoyable movie I have ever seen but today I remembered where my heart truly lies.

Have you finally gone MAD. No one is insane enough to even ATTEMPT to remake the movie. Would you remake Citizen Kane or The Godfather? Never will the stars and planets align to allow a movie as magical as Breakin' 2 Electric Boogaloo to be created. We are a better people and civilization because of it and that is all I have to say on this issue.

I think the Doomsday clock just moved closer to midnight. If they do this, they might as well remake Eraserhead.

We actually liked the film Gymkata... (the town of Crazies" was a nice touch... most of the acting was lacking (and some very bright red blood)... but with all of its flaws (and plot-holes)... is is still a fun film to watch...
Wishing you well, good Sir Kal

Gymkata is so stupid. That mountain village of crazies just seem to have all kinds of gymnastic's equiptment scattered about the town so he can fight there. Eraserhead is a movie that can never be remade. It's the star wars of weird movies.
