Why I Love Where I Live
It can get unbearably hot here in the Canadian Prairies during the summer. The unique geography of central Alberta usually means that the hotter the days, the more moisture gets draw into the atmosphere from nearby Sylvan Lake. At night, with the slightest cooling of the air we can have a hour or so a violent storms followed by a cooling calm that makes sleeping so much easier for a grand polar bear like myself.

My cousin lives in Red Deer and has a great view of farmland. It is just gorgeous.
that top pic was the setting for my dream last night.
Glorious PTM!
Well they don't call the Red Deer area 'Parkland' for nothing, Belle.
Well, at least we're not as hot as everyone to the East of us seems to be these days. They're sizzling!
I was in Ontario ONCE during the summer...ONCE. I remember sitting in a cold water tub while the temp went from 30 to 40 in an hour. Add to that humidity that would kill a jungle monkey and I am quite happy to live where I live.
Beautiful Kal, just beautiful
Yeah, yeah, it's nice and all, but...
...it's so flat! Where are the mountains? I gotta have mountains around me or I don't feel secure!
SECURE? or trapped?
Nice scenery, Kal.
