Firestar makes her debut in Marvel's mainstream comic book universe in Uncanny X-Men #193 (May 1985). She appears as a member of the Hellions, a group of teenage mutants who functioned as rivals to the New Mutants (a similar group under the tutelage of Charles Xavier).
Angelica 'Angel' Jones, also known as Firestar, is a fictional character from Marvel comics. She made her debut as one of the main characters in the early 1980s animated TV show, Spider Man and His Amazing Friends. She is a mutant with the ability to generate microwave radiation and manipulate heat. She was shunned by her peers as a child due to her mutant abilities and was often called "Angelica Jinx" because her powers brought misfortune among her classmates. She then learned to better control her powers, although she tried to keep it a secret from her father.
It was not until high school that she caught the attention of the X-Men, and became a member of that team.

she is a unexplored treat until now, thank you... i didn't know that she had an independent life outside of the spiderman cartoon.
Anything to sell ballet to the kids, eh?
Absolutely love Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends! Thanks for throwing the spotlight on one of the reasons why.
My first exposure to Firestar was in the "Ultron Unleashed" storyline in Avengers during the late 90s. I didn't realize she was created for the show. I just figured that "Amazing Friends" wanted a "fire and ice" motif but also wanted at least one girl on the team.
