First let me say that I find the central plot point that these are avatars in a game to be a brilliant storytelling idea. It allows for some great comedy situations and the actors they picked for those roles seem perfect now that I have seen the trailer. The first Jumanji is one of my all time favorites and this one looks to be worthy of it's name. I dig it and want to see this movie NOW.

The avatar angle really brings the game into the 21st century too, doesn't it.
Yes and gives the a reason to be able to do some pretty cool things. Like I loved watching Karen kick that guy off the bike. Lots of opportunity for humor and learning about life. The only thing they could change is the name but I can live with the difference. It's it's own film and I say that as a lover of the first Jumanji.
