HE CAME BACK!!!!

I was awoken today by a familiar meow that I thought I would never hear again. He hasn't stopped crying and neither have I for the past hour. It sounds like a symphony of happiness. Physically he is no worse for wear. I hope he sleeps for three days. My mother is working at the group home right now so I think I will just wait for her to come home before I tell her.

I am so happy for you.
I'm a frequent visitor to your blog (adore the meow mixes!)
I've been so sad for you and this is such great news, I have 3 cats and know how I'd feel if one were to disappear. Enjoy your reunion :))

The role played by the "coma baby" in Bright Lights Big City and the kid in the well in 12 monkeys (in other words, offscreen extended suspenseful drama that affects my mood much, much more than is reasonable) has been played in my life by Cal and Admiral Fluffy over the past month. I can't tell you how happy I am.

Seriously, the Admiral is a prince among cats because he KNOWS who the prince amongst humans are...and that's you, my friend. Joy!

I am pleased to see that he has returned home, however, for Absence Without Leave, I move that Admiral Fluffy be demoted to the rank of Captain.

I had really great people praying for both me and my non-believing cat so things worked out perfectly. I half feel I am still asleep.

No Way!!!! I honestly felt so sick about him being gone. I thought that the painting that I am going to do of the admiral was going to be a memorial portrait and it would have been a bittersweet thing to do. But he's back and now It will be a happy experience.

I am so happy that he came back. Get a gps locator and put it on his collar.

DrGoat said...

Or dry-dock the Admiral. I know you don't want him to be just an inside kitty, but it's a thought.
In any event, happy days are here again.

Just look at the amount of comments on this post. People really love that magnificent fur ball. I'm so happy for you that he's returned. I think next time you let him out you need to attach a 500 foot leash to him. That way he feels free but you can still reel him in. haha

Kal said...

Thanks for all the kind words everyone. I feel like I am in the middle of a miracle right now as I turn to see him snore in his favorite place.

I've been absorbed in my own world lately. I didn't know your cat was missing :(

Glad it returned! "...and the cat came back, the very next day, the cat came back..."

That is so amazing! I'm really happy for you. I'm sure the world is a safer place now, but I'm hoping his outdoor days have come to an end.
Congrats to you all!

Margaret Benbow said...

Kal, are there any clues to where he was? How long was he gone? Hmm, maybe just long enough to carry out a double secret mission against the cephalopod menace..and mission accomplished, he strode home.

Laila Knight said...

Awesome that kitty came back! I had an outside cat that would leave for days and then return. My heart was in my throat the entire time. :)

Thank you for all your support. I may not have any real life friends but my virtual friends are an army of greatest.
