First Of All - This Is The Saddest Model I Have Ever Seen
And secondly, who KNEW that Ironside had a jazzy jungle material lining his wheelchair? Who knew he was that into 70s style? It's like he took it from some elderly New Jersey housewife. I hope this model comes painted. How can I reproduce that pattern?? This whole model is poorly thought out.

Oh my God! Unexpected nostalgia trip.
I really wanted that model when I was in, I think, third grade...not because of any love of Ironside but because the bus that took me to school was a yellow Ford van and I thought it was a really cool vehicle, so I wanted a model kit of it. I remember finding this kit downstairs at the hobby shop a few blocks from my house and trying to get enough allowance together to buy it, but I never did.
Wow, memory's a funny thing. I haven't thought about the "Ford van model" in probably forty years, and when I saw the picture it was right back in my mind's eye as if it had never been away. Thanks for posting this, Cal.
Too funny. I just saw it on one of the Facebook sites I follow that post this kind of nostalgia. Did you notice the wheelchair at the time?
I thought there was no demographic for this model but once again I am proven wrong.
Remember it well. Graduated from high school in '68. This was one of the shows that was worth watching back then. I had been a young fan of Perry Mason, which was a great show. Della Street, Paul Drake. Couldn't get enough of that show.
I knew nothing about Ironside and figured I wouldn't even use the wheelchair part. All I cared about was the Ford van -- I liked Ford vans. I was a weird kid that way (I preferred Matchbox cars to Hot Wheels).
after he persecuted hippies for all being into manson im surprised he would tolerate even paisley. I saw same story exactly but about the rave generation of 90s
just to note every comment i make i get a email saying it didnt work with pages of code when they seem to work
I have no idea why that is. No wonder I have no comments. Stupid blogger.
