Fuck You Steve

I was on the Facebook yesterday and some guy I follow posted a picture of an old time baseball player. He had photoshopped a bag of hot dog buns being thrown at him and made the joke that it ruined this guy's career. Not a great joke but like my captions it's his form of expression and I have always respected it. This was his original picture and message.

 

Tragically, his career was cut shirt when someone threw a pack of hot dogs at him

 

Like I am apt to I added my own goofy comment thinking the moment had come and gone. I mentioned in the comments that in NO WAY did I believe that even a frozen package of hot dogs could harm a professional athlete. Totally a throw-away comment.

I rarely comment on his opinions or stuff he posts but when I do I say nice things and even support his goofy art. This is what the prick sent to me this morning. Now remember, this same guy has the thinnest skin of anyone and is constantly complaining about how others perceive him.

I removed your comment on the picture of the baseball player and the hot dogs because: 1) It wasn't funny. 2) It was dumb. 3) It didn't add anything to the joke. The first rule of comedy is 'agree and add.' It's never funny to disagree with the premise of the original joke. Disagreement kills the humor in every situation.

 

Now this is my response.

Man, people are right about you. You are a dick. It was just a goofy comment and you took it as an excuse to put someone down. Get a grip and allow someone to participate. You are not the comedic genius you think you are and it's the height of arrogance to believe so. Would have killed you to let someone else in on the fun. Sad.

I hate this so much. I am supportive to everyone on Facebook and I would never dream to put someone down who suggested a better caption for one of my pictures. I certainly would never remove someone's comment because I was so insecure that they may have said something funnier than what I said. I would also never remove a comment someone made. Happy to let this loser go from my list.
