True Story

When I was in the base hospital for tonsilitis the base priest came by with two books for me. One was the story of Jonestown and Jim Jones which I watched on TV a few years earlier as the story unfolded live in front of me. The other book was The Brood which terrifies me to this day. A woman can make little moster toddlers that wear hoodies and kill her enemies in horrible ways. No shit. I read both of them in three days.

That's what the PRIEST gave you to read? Not "The Cross and the Switchblade"? lol

Count Robot, the book it is based on is pretty freaky as well. Years later when I saw a toddler in a hoddie I freaked for a second.

It must have been a popular book at one time for it to be made into a movie with Oliver Reed in it. It's one that stuck with me all these years. I hate horror and I hate toddlers so there must be a connection.
