Anyone Who Loves BURN NOTICE Will Understand This Reference
First he gave them that little wry smile...and then...he JUMPED...he actually JUMPED!!!...one of the best endings to a season EVER! Michael Weston is the shit, bitches! Haven't been this satisfied with a show and its direction in a long long time. The only thing wrong is that I have to wait for season three to start which isn't fair. Anyone know when it starts?
Best Statement About My Personality EVER!
Lisa Mynx, who I talk to often, is too smart sometimes but I wouldn't have it any other way. She has the ability to sum up most situations and especially my entire personality in one sentence. I admire that more than she will ever know. When someone actually 'gets' who you are you feel validated. Yeh, yeh, like Goom I just want to be loved.

Star Trek Blue Ray Phaser
I am not mechanical at all but I can respect the mind that figured out how to do this modification to a Star Trek Prop phaser. I almost want a real one of these as much as I want a rocket pack.

Worst Rip Off of a Classic Fashion Look EVER!
The designer said it was unintentional but COME ON...wear that shirt design anywhere and they WILL call you Charlie Brown.
Chicken in a Can and Cheesebuger in a Can
WTF????? You don't tug on Superman's cape, you don't pee in the wind, you don't pull the mask off the old Lone Ranger and you don't eat your chicken from a CAN! Just check out that jellied goodness. Just like nature intended. Even if I was squirreled away in my post apocalyptic bomb shelter would I eat chicken from a can. That is just zombie bait.

They also have Cheeseburger in a Can which will look NOTHING like this picture and probably tastes no worse than the burgers you get at 7-11.
Shelf Porn
I love seeing how others display their superhero stuff and this guy's collection is simple amazing. My own stuff is pretty cool but its the combination of statures, figures and graphic novels that is truly impressive in this case. Like me he doesn't seem to be a completist (except for the graphic novels) and buys what he likes. Robot Six has sent out the call for similar pics and I look forward to seeing many more of these collections.Check out the extra pictures here - http://robot6.comicbookresources.com/2009/04/send-us-your-shelf-porn-16/#more-8934
Green Pizza Box
I am not a tree hugger but this kind of product is a no-brainer and would probably save most pizza companies money which could spur them on to adopt it. Make it biodegradable too and you got a winner.
Water Powered Jet Pack
I have been asking for a long time, "where is my jet pack"? Somebody must have heard me. Its not the free flying Rocketeer style that I prefer but its still pretty sweet. I am looking forward to the non-stuntman footage which is going to have spectacular wipe-outs.
Just Funny and Topical
Apparently though Pooh was a bear of 'very little brain' he kept up with breaking news and had a fierce sense of self preservation.
Very Dissappointed
Well it seems that once again I DIDN'T make TIME'S 100 most influencial people list or PEOPLE magazine's most beautiful people list. Its a scandal I tells ya designed to keep Big Daddy down. Both rags informed me also that my write-in votes would not be counted because they had no idea who I was. I have 16 followers on my blog - get with the program bitches. Also so-called news network CNN claims that the story of my suffering is not 'newsworthy'. Have I just gotten off the bus at Crazytown??? Fluffy thinks I got a raw deal but he is just one kitty and his ability to influence world events is highly overrated. I guess all I can do is bravely soldier on. Remember me in your prayers.

The Ray Guns of Edison Giacattoli
These are the kind of guns I wish I had as a kid. I would have been all over these. Being a base brat we would play 'guns' all the time and we were packin a weird assortment. I had my cowboy six shooters in my fancy two gun holster rig, my James Bond spy pistol that fired a kind of grenade looking thing, a plastic Zorro sword, rubber knives, a homemade bow and arrows and the 'piece du resistance"- a spent tube from the one shot bazookas our dad's trained with. Once the ordinace was fired you had a green plastic tube with site and trigger still attatched. Instead of throwing them out our Dads brought them home for us. We ALL carried those into battle. One kid carried nothing BUT the bazookas. Like some human Gundam. Wicked cool times. Some kids had the plastic linings from their Dad's metal helmet. I had the web belt with canvas pouches for my caps and other necessities - mostly candy. And YES I also wore a cape - hey were were fighting for control of the planet people...THE PLANET!

Elemental Stones
Urban Collector is selling these replica stones from he movie 'Fifth Element' one of my all time favorites. I love the design sensibilities of Luc Besson and he created a future world that actually seems plausible to me like the Blade Runner world was. Milo Jovovich is awesome - ("bada boom - multipass") and Chris Tucker is so perfectly over the top ("Corbin my man...Corbin my man"). Its one movie that Bruce Willis actually looks like he is enjoying making. He hasn't had that look since the first 'Die Hard'. These stones would look awesome on my Aztec Temple Desk which I wrote about in another earlier post.
"Fifth Element Elemental Stones Le Prop Replicas is an Urban Collector pre-order. In a temple in Egypt, the ultimate weapon against the evil of anti-life is stored. When the five elements of the universe, each stored in small triangular stones, are brought together - water, fire, earth, air, and life - together they produce the Divine."

Over the Hills and Far Away
I have a love for good historical drama and some of the best films have been a 16 part British series based on a number of books by Bernard Cornwell about Lt. Richard Sharpe, a fictional soldier during the Napoleonic Wars. The action/adventure movies follow the journeys of Richard Sharpe, played by Sean Bean, as he travels throughout Europe to fight the French under Napolean Bonaparte. After saving his commanding officer's life, Sgt. Sharpe is given a battlefield promotion and we watch as he rises through the officer ranks often coming into conflict with the aristocrats who have bought their rank rather than earning them through bravery. You get a real sense of the deep divide in the British class system between the haves and have nots. If you want to see a realistic portrayal of life for British infantrymen during the Napoleonic Wars you will enjoy this series. There is heroism, betrayal, loyalty, and honor. The chaos of the 18th century battlefield is vividly illustrated. Sharpe's 'Chosen Men' are amoung the best soldiers in the British army but are uneducated commoners like he is. To fight and die for King and country is the best they can expect from life. Sharp is a natural leader and you revel in the moments when those superior to him see his value as a trustworthy and more than capable soldier. He even has the respect of Wellington himself who defeated Napoleon at Waterloo. You can see my favorite of the series - Sharpe's Eagle - on You Tube for free. My father and I loved these and I know you will too.
Canadians Love Ketchup
First of all lets get ONE thing straight...what you call 'Canadian Bacon' we just call ham. We call bacon bacon and its the same bacon you have known and loved all your life. If I live to do one thing its to debunk the Canadian bacon myth. Second, our Mountain Dew is also different because, well, the dew on our mountains is cleaner than the dew on your mountains (it also is caffeine free). Thirdly, we DO love our ketchup. We consume more of it per capita than any other nation. We love it with Kraft Dinner which we also voraciously consume(mmmmmm Easy Mac). Several years ago a chip company tried out ketchup flavoured chips. They bombed everywhere in the world EXCEPT Canada. I find them gross but they always are sold out when I go to the Mac's store. I believe you can only get them in Canada. Even Heinz itself is honoring our 100 year love affair with the mighty red condiment by creating the KETCHUP CAKE. It actually looks good in the picture. I might just have to try and make it so I can report honestly on the taste. Ice Bear approves the content of this ad.
"To commemorate its Canadian centennial and thank Canadians for 100 years of support, Heinz has created The Great Canadian Heinz Ketchup Cake -- an ideal dessert for any celebration. It's red, perfectly spiced and delicious. Think carrot cake without all the work.
"We all think of ketchup as the perfect complement to hotdogs, hamburgers and fries, but its unique taste makes ketchup an ideal flavour enhancer for many recipes, including desserts," explains Amy Snider. The professional home economist and culinary nutritionist works with Heinz.
"Heinz Ketchup not only adds great flavour to the cake, but it also creates a wonderfully moist texture." Read on for ketchup facts and cake recipe.

ALL ABOUT THE RED SAUCE

Fluffy Weighs In
Not two seconds ago while reading my blog he looked me square in the eye and said -"Kitties died during the filming of Milo and Otis??? WTF????" Its sad times here in the Cave. Somethings are better for him NOT to know because 'Fluffy don't play' and he has been walking around the house shouting VENDETTA! VENDETTA!
Themico
I love the art by this Macedonia artist. His take on the Marvel characters is awesome and I would actually love to see his work animated. It has that kind of energy to it. Spiderman's 'pantsing' of Robin is a classic.

Amy Jo
I was reading over at Topless Robot an article about all the side effects of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers that craptastic Japanese program we all enjoyed even though you might not admit it. I was teaching at a school and during the Kindergarten Graduation they read out these fun facts about each kid as they got their 'diplomas' and TO A KID they all wanted to be a Power Ranger when they grew up. THAT is influence amoung a certain non-voting and penniless demographic. (On another note the same article mentioned that kitties died during the filming of Milo and Otis to which I say WTF? I love that movie - but I digress.) Clearly the appeal of the first round of Power Rangers was due in no small part to the love I had for Kimberly the FIRST, BEST and ONLY Pink Ranger played by Amy Jo Johnson who can be seen these days on the excellent Canadian produced drama FLASHPOINT (see I had a Canadian related reason for this post - bitches) Gots me some mad love for Amy Jo. She can call me anytime - collect. And seriously, dead kitties on Milo and Otis???? WTF????
